Leading Strategic Framework Integration

As a strategic leader in learning and development, I partnered with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a leading international development organization, to align their guiding framework with the broader United Nations system. I led the design and implementation of a global training initiative, ensuring country officers could effectively cascade the strategy within their teams.

Transforming and Strategizing Digital Technology to Strengthen Women’s Self Help Groups

Collaborating with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I conducted a landscape analysis to assess digital and mobile technologies that support women’s self-help groups (SHGs), a critical tool for fostering economic empowerment in low-resource settings. My work involved reviewing relevant documents, conducting interviews with key stakeholders, and identifying technologies that could improve access, scalability, and impact of SHGs in India and Sub-Saharan Africa. I also synthesized the findings into actionable insights and facilitated learning events to help the Foundation prioritize future investments in this space.

Building Learning Culture & Capacity Through Mentorship

Recognizing the need for greater instructional design expertise and a stronger learning culture, I led mentorship initiatives to develop the skills of internal teams, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of learning programs across the organization and with various types of learners.

Developing Blended Learning Experiences

Facilitated a comprehensive review of existing training curricula and conducted thorough needs analyses using the ADDIE model to identify gaps in learning for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Center for Violence and Conflict Prevention (CVP). Based on these insights, I designed a new, blended learning program tailored for staff supporting conflict-sensitive aid processes. The program combined e-learning modules, virtual and in-person workshops, and interactive case studies to ensure staff gained the skills and knowledge needed to navigate complex, conflict-affected environments.

Cultivating Strong Leadership Skills through Transformative Learning

Working closely with stakeholders at the World Food Programme, I co-created a leadership development program that integrated gamification to teach situational leadership. I defined the program's learning objectives, mapped out key leadership opportunities, and designing interactive, scenario-based simulations where learners could apply situational leadership techniques in real-time. I facilitated the integration of adaptive feedback loops and progressive learning paths to ensure engagement and skill development at all levels, fostering a truly immersive learning experience.

Leveraging Hybrid Learning Environments

I designed, created, and facilitated a monthly webinar series for USAID’s Office of Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG). This series focused on strategic planning, a critical component of the program cycle, and aimed to support USAID's staff and partners in developing impactful strategies for their programs. I collaborated with subject matter experts, developed engaging content, and facilitated live discussions that allowed participants to share insights and collaborate on innovative solutions. The series combined live virtual discussions, self-paced content, and collaborative workshops for virtual and in-person learners, providing a flexible and dynamic learning environment.

Amplifying Women’s Empowerment in Under-Resourced Environments

As an event organizer and activity lead, I facilitated empowerment workshops and camps for young women and girls in under-resourced environments, creating safe spaces for personal growth and leadership development. I also take a trauma-informed approach, specializing in facilitating opportunities for survivors of domestic violence to share their stories in a supportive, compassionate environment, helping them feel heard and access necessary resources. My approach fosters trust, vulnerability, and healing, empowering individuals to reclaim their voice and build resilience.

Integrating Balanced Opportunities for All

As the lead facilitator and designer, I designed, facilitated, and translated a series of courses focused on integrating balanced opportunities for all. Over the course of five years, I continually updated the content to keep it relevant and impactful. I delivered the course in three languages to over 500 learners (including staff, implementing partners, and aid recipients), tailoring my word choice and delivery style to ensure it resonated with each audience. I guided participants through multiple learning modules using various modalities, including role plays, branching scenarios, appreciative interviews, and self-paced work, ensuring deep engagement and practical application of the content.

Encouraging Belonging in Respectful and Safe Workplaces

I facilitated a series of courses for five international U.S. Missions focused on creating belonging and respect in safe workplaces. I led participants through discussions on sensitive topics, ensuring a respectful environment while navigating cross-cultural sensitivities. Through role plays and courageous conversations, I guided participants in practicing conflict resolution, active listening, and inclusivity skills. I facilitated open dialogue, empowering participants to address difficult issues constructively. After each training, participants demonstrated stronger conflict management skills and a deeper commitment to fostering respectful workplace environments.
